Dillard's ROWM Menswear Final Project

For my AMPD 4033 CAD Textiles class, our final project was creating a repeatable print and matching plaid and stripe fabric for the Dillard's Menswear brand ROWM. This was for the Spring/Summer 2023 Season and we were given a set color palette to use for the project. The first thing we had to do was research trends for menswear for the Spring/Summer 2023 season on fashion trend forecasting sites like WGSN and Fashion Snoops, and then create a Trend Board for our fabric design. I chose to do a print associated with the Back to Earth and nature trend that was being seen for menswear that season. We were given the customer profile of what the ROWM Customer is and designed our prints with that in mind. I had the March 2023 palette and based my print on eucalyptus leaves and lavender. We had to create 3 colorways for our print and for our plaid and stripe fabric. Eucalyptus and Lavender are known for helping with anxiety and I wanted to create a print that I could relate to while still making something a ROWM customer would wear. I used Kaledo Print and Kaledo Weave software to create my fabrics for the ROWM Final Project.
