I was born and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas and I have wanted to be a Fashion Designer since I was 9 years old. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors Distinction in Apparel Merchandising and Product Development from the University of Arkansas in May 2022.  My honors thesis project was "Creating Adaptive Face Masks with Clear Inserts to aid People with Hearing Loss," and my mentor was Stephanie Hubert. 

 

I was in Band and Color Guard for over 10 years and I have always been surrounded by Costumes and Avant-Garde Garments. I was in Band and Color Guard all throughout high school and was in the Razorback Marching Band all 4 years of college. I have had an Instagram social media page about Band and Color Guard since I was 15 years old (2015). It's been over 7 years and I have over 20K followers. The account is called Band Kids on the Block, @band_kids_on_the_block_   I have managed this page by myself since I was 15 and I made it into a business account. I have lots of experience with engaging with an audience on social media, understanding business insights, creating content for stories and posts, and have been posting daily for over 7 years now. I am always aware of what new features are available on Instagram and try to keep my page consistent with who I am as a person and what I have been sharing for the past 7 years on the platform.

I am passionate about Costumes, Evening Wear, Ready-to-Wear, and Avant-Garde Fashion Design. I am also interested in sustainability, adaptive clothing, and women empowerment in the Fashion Industry. I hope to participate in internships or jobs that involve Fashion Design, Fashion Styling, Creative Social Media Use, and anything involved with the Fine Arts. After I graduate in May 2022 and want to be immersed in the Fashion World with an amazing company.
